Building Boys Who Walk Worthy

Troop 4110 is a Christ-centered Trail Life USA troop serving boys and families in the Santa Clarita Valley. Through adventure, discipleship, leadership, service, and meaningful relationships, our goal is to help boys grow toward godly manhood.

More Than Meetings and Campouts

Troop 4110 brings boys together for Thursday meetings, outdoor adventures, campouts, service projects, competitions, family activities, and opportunities to learn practical skills and take increasing responsibility as they grow.

But the activities are a means to something greater.

We want boys to be known, challenged, encouraged, and surrounded by adults who care about the men they are becoming. Our desire is for Trailmen to learn to lead with integrity, serve others, persevere through difficulty, develop useful skills, build strong friendships, and grow in their relationship with Christ.

As part of Trail Life USA, we serve boys from kindergarten through high school through an age-appropriate program that grows with them.

Adventure

Boys need meaningful challenges that allow them to explore, develop competence, take appropriate risks, and discover what they're capable of.

Character

Adventure creates opportunities to practice integrity, courage, perseverance, responsibility, humility, and self-control.

Leadership

As boys mature, they receive increasing responsibility to make decisions, serve others, mentor younger boys, and lead.

Christ at the Center

Biblical truth shapes how we approach character, leadership, service, relationships, responsibility, and adventure. Our goal isn't simply to produce capable outdoorsmen or successful leaders, but to point boys toward Christ and encourage them to become men who honor God, lead with integrity, and serve others.

Growing Together

Troop 4110 is intentionally Christ-centered and boy-focused, but boys don't grow in isolation.

Men Walking Alongside Boys

Fathers are strongly encouraged, whenever possible, to participate alongside their sons. That might mean helping at Thursday meetings, attending campouts, joining activities, serving with the troop, or simply spending time with other fathers and Trailmen.

Grandfathers and other trusted adult men can also play an important role.

We believe boys benefit from having multiple godly men in their lives—men who know them, encourage them, challenge them, pray for them, and demonstrate Christian manhood through everyday life.

Father participation is strongly encouraged, but it is not required for a boy to belong in Troop 4110.

Families Belong Here

Families are an important part of our ministry. Mothers, sisters, and other family members are welcome at many outings, service projects, Courts of Honor, special activities, and our annual Family Campout.

Shared adventure builds community not only among the boys, but among parents and families as well.

A Ministry of Grace Baptist Church

Families do not need to attend Grace Baptist Church or already identify as Christian to visit or join Troop 4110. We welcome families who want their boys to experience the program.

At the same time, we want to be completely clear about who we are: Troop 4110 is an unapologetically Christian ministry. Biblical teaching is an intentional part of the program and is consistent with the beliefs and Statement of Faith of Grace Baptist Church and Trail Life USA.

Troop 4110 is a ministry of Grace Baptist Church of Santa Clarita.

Grace Baptist Church exists to make and multiply Christ-followers who magnify the glory of God. Troop 4110 provides a unique setting for that mission through relationships, outdoor adventure, discipleship, leadership, and service.
