When can a Mountain Lion carry/use an edged tool?

Mountain Lions must complete the applicable Trail Life edged-tool instruction or certification before carrying or using an approved edged tool at troop activities, and they must continue to follow leader direction and current Trail Life safety rules.

What are Trail Life’s rules for knives and other edged tools?

Troop 4110 follows Trail Life USA’s current policies for edged tools. Boys may only carry or use age-appropriate tools when they have met the applicable program requirements and are following leader direction and event rules.
