Does the troop provide cooking equipment?
Yes. Troop 4110 has group cooking/camp equipment and uses it to prepare the planned troop meals. Each attendee still needs a personal reusable mess kit.
What should we bring to a typical campout?
Bring the personal items listed in the event instructions. Typical needs include a mess kit, tent, sleeping bag, sleeping pad or cot, pillow if desired, appropriate clothing, a backpack or day bag, and any personal food or drink items you need beyond what the troop provides.
Why does everyone need a mess kit?
Troop campouts use reusable personal eating gear rather than relying on disposable plates, cups, and utensils for every meal. Each attendee is responsible for bringing and managing his or her own mess kit.

Typical personal gear includes a tent or sleeping arrangement, sleeping bag, pad or cot if desired, appropriate clothing, backpack or day bag, and a reusable mess kit. Each campout’s final packing information is provided before the event.
