Do boys have to earn every award?

No. Awards provide meaningful goals and recognize growth, but the purpose of Trail Life is larger than collecting patches. Boys are encouraged to participate consistently and pursue advancement appropriate to their goals and program level.

Is a uniform required?

Yes. For boys, Troop 4110 requires the official Trail Life uniform shirt. Other common items such as a Trail Life hat or Activewear shirt are useful and popular but are not required by the troop.
